Leica recommends a tiny amount of petroleum jelly on the bayonet mount,
says that new camera bodies already have it, and that it normally lasts
for years. I use Teflon grease here, on the lens bayonets and the
sliding portion of the 50 Elmar, again, really sparingly (can't actually
see it, and the treated surfaces don't actually feel greasy). Works
fine.
