When using the motor drive, however, you cannot disconnect the motor drive from the camera while the camera is loaded without fogging the film. In order for the motor to be used, the lock for the camera back, located in the baseplate, must be removed, to provide a connection for the motor shaft. The result is, that when the motor is removed, there is a hole in the baseplate, allowing for a light leak. Compare this with the SL and SL-2 MOT cameras where the motor can be attached or removed at any point with film in the camera. Mike Swiek
