You can get the three piece set rather cheaply, and since the Catadioptric lens doesn't have the cams, you will be alright in the metering department as well. I had no idea that this was the case until I just bought one and was disappointed to find it out. I have an 'brand x" 500 mm reflex that I have used for several years which focusses to 2.5 metres and provides some "macro" coverage. I can't see spending several hundred dollars more for less range of focus. I'm sending it back! Kent
