Subject: [Leica] <OFF TOPIC> home made lift rod suggestions

This past weekend I made myself some deep dunk n dip development tanks
using PVC pipe and flanges and such. I used them using my 8 reel lift
rod, but it is too short. I am wanting to make a longer lifter, but know
that standard metals will quickly rust in the chemicals. I am wondering
about using heavy gague copper wire...will this react adversly with the
chems?? I am using them im B&W chemistry, Ethol UFG developer and Ilford
rapid fix.

Does anyone have any idea where I could get stainless steel wire of a
gague to be good for this purpose?

TIA.
