Wouldn't the difference in angle of view between a 19mm lens and a 21mm
VF be quite large?  (I'm assuming there are no 19mm VF around: closest
I've heard of it the Russian 20mm, but at these extremes, even that
should translate into [I'm guessing] 5-7 degrees of coverage).

IF you bolted a 19mm R on the front of an M, and IF you did find a VF
with an appropriate field-of-view, would you be able to see past the
lens!?  If I recall the illustration in Bower's book on reflex Leicas,
it's pretty gargantuan.
