Personally, I think that the 20-pound Kit outlined by Jon Falk in his =
article "Location Lighting a la Carta", Shutterbug ,Oct. 94 issue (pp =
66-68) fits your needs.
Here's the gist of it with some additions of my own.=20
1 Dyna-Lite power pack (500w/s or 1000w/s)
2 Dyna-Lite 2040 blower cooled flash heads
1 Enertec NE1 bare bulb flash head (optional)
1Dyna-Lite 120 VAC power pack cable
2 Dyna-Lite flash power cables
1 Dyna-Lite 14-ft. flash head extension cable
2 Paramount 15-ft HH-to-PC synch cable
1 spare modeling lamp=20
2 Photek 38" stow-away compact umbrella or 1-recessed front 36 x 48"soft =
box(w half size fiberglass rods)
1 38" collapsible round reflector (white/soft gold)
2-3 Bogen #3373 7-ft compact light stands
1 Minolta IVF flash meter
1 Morris Midi slave Flash
1 Lowel Scissor-mount
1 Lowel Tota-clamp
1 small roll gaffer-tape
1 NPC Polaroid back
1 Lightware case
Optional: 20 degrees grid or/and 4 way barndoor + Rosco filters(85B, =
80A, CC40G, CC40M, 81EF, Ambard bastard)=20
=20
Dyna-lite is popular at rental houses, so you have the opportunity to =
test it and see if you like it before committing to anything.
You may also want to buy Jon Falk's book Adventures in Location Lighting =
(out of print) and/or check his Web page http:www.underdog-battery.com/
However, good lighting is more than equipment. Arnold Zann does some =
extraordinary corporate work with a single Vivitar 283 or just =
available light. It may pay to take a seminar with one of them.
=20
Regards,
Robert
