Jim,
I'm sure your opinion more properly represents the appropriate response from this
LUG of ours. I think our interest with the Cosina/Voigtlander, Yasuhara, Ricoh and
(to come, we expect) Konica gear is fascination with new toys, and these toys are
more affordable.

There is also, for me perhaps, the perversity of it all! Following on from the
line of 'Why have a run of the mill SLR when you could own a weird rangefinder
camera?' comes the question, 'Why have the ordinary(!!) lenses for this
rangefinder camera when you could have something more obscure?' In a sense, a
search for rarity status, a pursuit of eclecticism!

In 10 years time will we still be wanting the Voigtlander lenses? I doubt it. We
shall hopefully, by then, have all the money we want to buy the Leica lenses we
always promised ourselves but didn't think we could afford back then.

New toys and fascination with, seeming, exotica...
