I don;t think you will see any difference with the UV filter on the lens as opposed to off. Purists will argue that, but my own preference is to put a slight warming filter such as a B+W or Heliopan KR1,5 instead of the UV. IMO, if the filter get scratched, I am out $40-40, if the lens gets scratched, ouch!!$$!
