Subject: [Leica] Modify Nikon F body to accept Leica R lenses?

Am about to approach a few technicians about this, but want
to run it past the list to see if anyone has been down this
particular path...

I want to modify the lens mount of my 1979 vintage Nikon F2A
body so that it will accept the Leica R series lenses.

Doesn't have to have meter coupling (I removed the DP-11 photomic
head & use the meterless DE-1 pentaprism instead).

So anyone done this? Possible?...

Why bother? Mainly so I can use my DW-1 waist-level finder
for candid shooting. Also, would then have a cheaper body
to smash up when the going gets really rough. ;^)

Regds,
