OK Ted,

Let me ask, when and if the new Leica AF R series comes out, do you think
they will have Minolta make the lenses?  I thought they were using Sigma and
Kyocera, but I guess if Minolta makes the R9, perhaps they will make the
lenses.  I can hardly wait for the Rokkumicron or Summikor lenses.

Hi folks,

WOW! we do have a heavy duty AF_MF thing taking-up a lot of space.

How's this for a suggestion? Can we  get on to other Leica topics as the
present one wont be resolved for a few years. Not at the rate this is going.

How be we file this auto focus - manual thing in a bring forward file to
pop up in a few years? 2002-3-4? When the new R whatever auto focus comes
on the market.:)

Then we can all lighten-up, read the old files and respond to each other,
"Gee we sure were a bunch of dummies in '99 wrapping-on like that!:) Here's
Leica with its new ___auto-vision__ R camera that focuses as fast as the
eye looks at the subject!"

Naw forget it, wouldn't work, too many guys just enjoy controversy for the
sake of controversy without any sense of humour. Others take the subject
far too seriously like it is a given thing from above without any common
sense to it.

Someone said AF-MF are merely tools, how one makes use of the hammer
depends on the likes and dislikes of each individual. I guess that's the
message some of us have lost in this conversation.
