I cannot see even the remotest trace of surface grease or residue or reflection of same on my filters. The cleaning ability of this little cloth far exceeds any prior cleaning with lens cleaning papers and liquids. The cloth's instructions say merely to "wash it in soap-suds and clear water and then dry it in the air. It will be as good as new." jh
