Subject: RE: [Leica] Why Read "Shutterbug," Anyway?

I used to subscribe to "Shutterbug" when it was under different editorial
supervision and had many articles more interesting to me, including
intelligent writing on the history of Leica-- and other-- cameras, reports
on Leica equipment, and much more analysis of photographic issues. Today,
"Shutterbug" seems to have become a trade journal for a certain type of
wedding photography defined by Monte Zucker (did I get that name right?) (no
insult intended to any wedding photographers, but you're only one segment of
the industry) and digital reproduction. Also, the illustrations, which I
once found challenging and often provocative, have become pretty banal
(unless you LIKE cheesecake).

I could go on, but you're right, I am veering way off topic.
