I'm preparing to take my lovely bride for a 25th anniversary stay in Paris, and so will be away from the computer for that time. Of course I will take my M6 and 24/50 & 90 lenses, since its such a pretty place and I want to try to capture it again. The last time I went to Paris I took only the 28/2.8 and 50/2.0, and shot only Kodak T400-CN, their chromogenic B&W film. The B&W shots were wonderful; I think Paris is a city that can be shot exclusively in B&W and lose little in the translation. Using the two lenses was good, however I'm really looking forward to putting the 24 through its paces in place of the 28. This time I'll shoot mostly Kodak Royal gold 100, Fuji 800, and some chromes as the mood, light and subject demand. But I will be bringing at least half a dozen rolls of Ilfords X-P2 super to try out. I'm bringing the 90 along, because I'd hate to leave it behind and then want it, however I expect it'll get very limited use, and may spend most if not all of its time in the bag. Its getting so the 24 stays on the camera most of the time, and the 50 sits in a pocket, along with a couple of rolls of film, when I go walking about. Having gone from 28 to 24, I find myself needing a 35 now. The 24 is wonderful in what it covers, however the difference between it and the 50 is enough to warrant buying a 35 to bridge it. Isn't this sort of logic wonderful, I think I just talked myself into buying a new 35/1.4, real soon now!!! We'll of course hit all the famous landmarks and tourista places, because you couldn't go to a city like this without doing so, but I think we'll find time to wander the city a-foot and just enjoy Paris in April. You all take care now, and I look forward to seeing you again shortly. Norm
