Kind of like saying "I have never been to a >restaurant but know I wouldn't like it." Can't tell if you've never eaten >there! Like all generalizations (except this one?), what you say is half true. I know for sure I would not like ANY sushi restaurant on the planet. I have enough trouble with cooked fish...and seaweed? Forgedaboutit. Drove my Japanese girlfriend crazy in grad school. But I have been pleasantly surprised by Armenian food, Hungarian, Indian, Native Armenian, Ukrainian... So for sure, I have to experience something to know what I like. I don't have to use a Ricoh to know I wouldn't want one. I don't have to wear kinky leather clothes to know I don't like women beating me with leather straps, and sticking pins through my privates. I don't have to get into silly arguments...too late! The same thing for knowing enough about cameras in general, and how the parts going together will support my purposes. Of course, with any new camera, I'm willing to give it a go...but a Contax G has such a horrid viewfinder (I know, matter of opinion, this one's mine) that I have no interest at all in paying good money for one (other than some of the lenses which would be fun to try). I have played with the G1 and G2 enough to know that for a fact. The G2 is definitely better. As for the Harley/BMW statement you say is nonsense. I don't need to put wheels on a jackhammer to know I wouldn't like the ride. I have ridden enough motorcycles to know I like smooth. Or have a machine between my legs screaming "look at me, I'm a rebel." That's just too EOS... :-) Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO http://www.ponyexpress.net/~ewelch Profanity sucks.
