Hi Mitch,

There is no optical difference between the first and current version of the 1.0
Noctilux, only the lens hood (and possibly filter size, I would not know since I
do not use filters). I have quite an old example of the first version, and it
performs impeccably. I would not worry about any issues beyond the condition of
the specific lens you are looking at.
