Shades of difference; why fret over the optical differences between two pretty good, and pretty similar cameras? At this level, what matters more is that you like the thing, and use it effectively. You want maximum image quality on an absolute scale? Buy a larger-format camera; I hear that Ron Wisner makes good ones.
