I rubber band a white index card on the unit, tilt the flash head-no red eye. Has a thyristor, two auto ranges, and a full manual setting. Rather potent for it's size, I pinch the aperture down a bit from what the chart on the back of the unit recommends. I recall paying about $29 a year or two ago. Mike Gardner
