Snip I started out with the 50 Sumicron five years ago, got the 90 a few years later to commit the camera moreso to my studio work and the 35 Sumicron ASPH six months ago to commit it moreso to the street as well. If I had to do it again I would not change a thing but make it happen quicker. I had the 50 alone on my camara today everywhere I went. It is lighter and easier to see with glasses on then the 35. It is also a fifty: between telephoto and wide. You are only so much out of luck. If my 35 was the earlier version I would have it on my camera more often it think being much smaller and lighter. It's easier to "get it" with a 35, its all in focus and you get a perspective and depth effect but more rewarding with a 50 where you get a flattering(pun) formality. This is certainly a personal opinion. Mark Rabiner
