In my opinion, purchasing an APO is like guilding the Lily. The laws of Optics mention that maximum sharpness is achieved by shooting at two stops below maximum aperture. Using my 90 mmf4 with a lens hood gave me NO flare. Any lens would give some flare if aimed in the sun's direction. Do I detect some nit-picking with some members? Remember, Photography is an ART and is expressed with profound originality. Our cameras are simply a vehicle toward that ultimate goal. allan
