Re: The "Texas Triangle" in Springtime:

As one who lived for many years in Austin and took his Ph.D. from the
University of Texas with one hand; while photographing the "Hill Country" of
Central Texas (The triangle fromed by the Austin -San Antonio line, and due
West regions) with the other, I can attest to the beauty of springtime in
this Texas area and recommend it highly.

The Texas first-light and last-light is something to behold as it floods this
region's
renewal in spring. It is a region at the terminus of the Blackland Prarie to
the North, of the Pine Woods to the East and of the beginning of the
tumbling-tumble-weed and desert conditikons to the West.

Yes it has Palm Trees, spongy Carpet Grass and stately Live Oak Trees as well.
This region has also attracted many talented artists who often and elegantly
capture its "essence" in oil, so to speak....mentioned only because they agree
the subject matter of this Texas Triangle is decidedly not a Bermuda
Triangle!

In my day the good ole outdoor beer gardens under the Live Oaks proved a great
way to end the day. And, too, there were cool breezes without insects and
places like Barton Springs (and other Texas springs coming out of limestone
formations) to bath in peaceful contentment. Go For It and the Best of Light
is to be had in Texas:

With unashamed nostalgia,

P.S. Please no email telling me Barton Springs has changed; for, I shall
insist on holding to my memory as she was in my student days... in that
wonderful American Heidelburg....a placed called Austin, Texas and environs
that I call the Texas Triangle.
