Right On Joe....who has written:

wasteland of bad taste that is American (USA) culture.

In response I offer an Off-Topic Thought thought of my own:

1. We all know there is great profit pandering to the common-denominator!

2. That dark continent of mass-culture needs to be more economically
segmented and exploited by business...which I suppose is only a question of
time (The internet should excellerate this process).

3. Then what...guess we'll all find ourselves culturally happier in good
(economic) times and in bad times I suppose there will be an intensification
of class (and ethnocultural) struggle? Complex future?

4. In the meantime those with cultivated tastes must reach more deeply into
their pockets to buy their way out of this tiring ocean of "bad taste"
...each finding her or her oasis and peace of sorts! Yes, free market forces
at work... and probably no other alternative would be safe given flawed human
nature for what it is!

And, too, Best of Philosohical Light!
