Oh, that. I guess my film is always so fresh that it doesn't have time to 
crimp seriously enough to make a difference. :-) Never had a problem with 
that in the M6. With the R8, somewhat. I almost wish they'd stuck with the 
loading system with the R system they've had way back to the SL (?) at 
least to the R3. Very easy to use, reliable. Not as fast, but less prone to 
miss. With the R8, about 1 in 20 rolls doesn't catch the first time, and 
with bulk loaded film, it's not terribly reliable. Maybe I just don't cut 
leaders carefully enough. (Not that I have much experience with bulk load 
since I bought the R8.)
