I started with a five-string banjo at about age 17 - which is to say in another era - and about a year before turning 40, purchased a Takamine steel string guitar and learned some basics. Then I made the mistake of picking up the Martin and fooling with it at a music store...so, for my 40th birthday - D-35. I never got very good with it, although it's given me a great deal of pleasure. But I use it less and less, I have limited range of motion in my left wrist from an auto accident about 10 years ago - it's just a lousy excuse for my lousier playing - so the more I thought about it, the more I figured I'd get a great deal more pleasure out of the photo equipment than the Martin. So noD28, Guild or Gibson. Just my Martin looking for a new home. And I guess what I played was blue grass - sort of..and anything else I could manage.... - -----Original Message----- From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of thibault collin Sent: Friday, February 19, 1999 1:11 PM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: Re: [Leica] Ebay item Hey BD, If you "had" a Martin, I'm sure you still have another one don't you? Maybe another Martin, what about a D28 or a Guild? or a Gibson? BTW are you a country music player? Thib.
