Subject: Re: [Leica] Enlarger - IIc

Only one enlarger choice that I know of - the Leica II. I have seen the
older IIa in the $1000 - $2000 range, but for the workhorse IIc, be prepared
for prices of $2500 and up, sometimes way up. I worked with a IIc in a pro
lab over 30 years ago and absolutely loved it. It is a huge, heavy beast,
but operating it was smooth and elegant, kind of like a built-in power
steering.

For just 35mm and medium format, the IIc would be my overwhelming choice.
Maybe someday when I spend every waking hour in the darkroom and never go
out again, I will trade in both cars and the pickup on a IIc and appropriate
Leitz lenses!

Regards,
Gary
