I don't know whether Kyocera-Zeiss 50/1.7 nor N*** 50/1.8 have better
flare control than 50/2.0-R Summicron, I do also experience slight veiling
flare with my late 3cam 50mm Summicron under certain light condition
where my 60mm Elmarit would perform flawlessly. My 50mm Summicron comes
with the build-in shade which I use it regularly. Even with the slight
veiling flare problem with 50mm Summicron, some of my most beautiful
images are still made from my Summicron.
