Hi Alex -
Your posting was a good reminder that the LHSA board asked me at the Denver
meeting to prepare a proposal for holding the 2001 convention in Portland.
It has been many years since a meeting was held on the West Coast and that
one wasn't very well attended. So after Chicago this year and Boston next,
let's hear it for our coast and impress everybody with a great turnout!

I hope to contact Portland visitor's bureau's, chamber, etc fairly soon,
but it would be great to have some real LUG and LHSA contacts there.
Portland is my hometown, but Eureka is a long eight hour drive away. That's
much closer than any other LHSA meeting I have been to, but still a fair
stretch.

So if any LUGgers have ideas for an LHSA convention in the great state of
Oregon in the fall of 2001, it sure seems like an "on-topic" discussion for
the LUG.

Would love to hear from you. . .

Gary Todoroff
Tree LUGger and LHSA board director
