I would hardly call it that. She used his darkroom in San Francisco, I
believe, and he helped her, more like taught her, to print. According to
him, she was a pretty poor printer. But then, compared to him, 99 percent
of the photographers out there are rank amateur printers. :-)

The Farm Security Administration retained copyright to the photos because
she was a member of their staff. Not a freelancer. We now have access to
all her pictures in the archive for a nominal fee. And all the other FSA
photographers. Gordon Parks, Arthur Rothstein, Walker Evans, etc.
