Yes, I've watched the H. C-B films and learned that technique from the
master.  (But I still usually twist it with thumb and forefinger.)  My IIIc
is back at DAG at the moment because the 1/1000th is not giving an exposure
of the full frame, and it's substituting some strange lights in the
darkness.  Only happens on 1/1000.  Northern lights up here in Minnesota,
perhaps.
