Subject: [Leica] Noctilux, Infrared, and Halation

One of the things I like about infrared film is the fairie like halos
around bright objects. Not exactly soft focus, just the result of
the film not having an anti-halation layer.

I've heard some people say that the Noctilux has a similar glow
at f/1. Is the effect similar, and if so, what do you think causes
it? If not, how is the effect different? I like the halation and
would like to be able to pull it off when I'm not taking infrared
film.

Thanks!
