Donal,

I ordered the B+W FLD(499) from B+H last November and got it from stock in
39 and 46. Managed to find a 60mm in London which had been ordered over ten
years ago and not taken up (at a big Leica dealer). The 81A, KR3s I ordered
in 39mm and 46mm have still not been delivered 2 months on...I really
prefer the Nikon A2 but that is not available in Leica sizes.

SRB in Luton England can supply these items usually from stock in B+W,
Rodenstock or their own brand (plus they have CC filters in all sizes).
Hoya don't make an FLD in 39mm, at least don't export it from Japan. Nor I
believe Tiffen, Harrison nor Heliopan. I wanted the B+W FLD because I find
they work well with E200. Less well with RAP/RDP and too weak for RVP. FLDs
vary a lot from brand to brand IME.

Until recently I was mostly using 52mm filters with step down rings (-39,
40.5, 43, 46) but as you might imagine this is inefficient and tedious. For
60mm I was mostly using a 62-60 step down. I would be interested to learn
if anyone has successfully used a 60-58 ring to use 58mm filters on the 75
or previous 21.

Rgds
