Subject: [Leica] Help with Leica 400 5.6

Hi Luggers:

I just got a Telyt 400/5.6 which has a 14146 Televit-R rapid focus mount.
This focus mount has a pistol grip and a thumb wheel to move the focus. Is
this the same as the Novoflex rapid focus, and will it mount Novoflex
lenses or the later 560? I took a few pictures with it this afternoon and
when I developed the slides, I was surprised with the quality of them for a
lens this age. I would not say it is as good as my 400 2.8 APO, but it
seems much better than any non APO 400mm I have used. What caused the
change to the 400 6.3 from the 5.6 a few years later?

Regards,

Robert
