One of these days, maybe I will get the 50 Elmar and the thin Tele-Elmarit for the ultimate light weight compact Leica M system. Regarding the prices, if you buy from a "reputable" dealer, you may have to pay $900, If you shop around a bit (i.e., e.g., if you watch patiently for the Friday LUG sales), you will be able to buy from a reputable LUG member for much less than that. I chose one way, you did the other, no harm done. And to Michael Garmisa, regarding prices for 35 Summicron RF/Summaron RF, I have no idea. Sorry. - - Phong, sipping Knockando 14, not my favorite SM, but will do for now. "Joe Stephenson" <joeleica@email.msn.com> wrote: Gee, Phong, I don't know. I don't buy and sell, but my 35 f2.0 was $900.00 from Don Chatterton a few months ago. I saw similar prices at the time. The lowest I've seen was $795.00. It's a beautiful little lens that is said by expert testers to hold its own with its aspheric cousins once you close the f stop to about f4. I love mine and use it a lot.
