Regards Bill Another thought comes to mind at the mention of Ansel Adams. I find that black and white film in general is sensitive to proper metering technique. I find that merely pointing an accurate meter (one with the typical wide area of view) at a scene will generally yield mushy greyish prints. It may be be a restatement of the obvious, but it pays to point one's meter at middle gray. Regards, John.
