I think a later version was the Elmarit.  But cannot find
evidence of that in the resources that I have.   I was not
made with a collapsible mount.  (I am pretty sure that the
lens head does not unscrew from the collapsible mounts).  I
would not buy one in your position.  The big advantage for
me is that it is very familiar, has a E39 filter size (which
is the same as my RF35/3.5, 50/2.0).  I use filters.  I
still need a blue filter (for the atmospheric fog we are
presently experiencing).  As to size, the lens is a straight
90 mm.
