Thank you for all the helpful advice I have been receiving on and off the
LUG. I have been using M-Leicas for several years and did not mention
already owning the 75mm Summilux on my original post. A wise and
thoughtful LUG friend informed me that the 80mm Summilux-R is the same lens
as the 75mm. So, rather than repeating focal lengths I have decided on the
APO 180/3.4 Telyt. This beauty should complement my M's nicely. I wish I
can afford the current APO 180/2.8 but a clean used 180/3.4 will do just
fine. Hmmm. Now the body: I am set on a new R7. The R8 looks really
tempting but I want to give Solms another two years to perfect it :-) Can
anyone recommend a web site that will explain all the different R bodies
from the R3 to the R8?
