Nikon makes, shoots on a tripod whenever he can, and stretches the
capabilities of E6 as far as he can.  I took a workshop with him a few
months ago and used my M6.  Shot side by side with him and just couldn't
seem to take better pictures than he did :)

To me, the recent praise for Steve McCurry's photo of an Afghan refugee,
shot with a camera and lens that even today can be bought new for just
$625.00 USD, demonstrates that it's far more the photographer and his
vision than the equipment that will make a photo great.
