           Fraud Probe Reportedly Targets Online Auction Company eBay

     NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Online auction company eBay Inc. is
currently
  under investigation by Oklahoma regional postal inspectors office for
  allegedly bilking eBay users for at least $30,000 and possibly as much

  as $100,000, Newsweek magazine reported.
     Newsweek said vendor Sonny Stemple would get people to send in
money
  orders for items he claimed he had while never delivering the items.
     Though San Jose, Calif.-based eBay suspended Stemple, it has
refused
  to give refunds to the duped customers, Newsweek reported in its issue

  dated Dec. 21.
