Andre Jean Quintal,

Just an update to where I'm going in my attempt to
integrate a M system into my current R gear. After
all this is the "one & only" LUG (&>) !

Today, I was lucky enough to get the use of a M6 (.85x)
( non TTL ) for 15 days. I will be using a 90 to determine
if the 20% increase in magnification makes it easier for
me to focus this lens doing hand held "candids". A very
critical path (&>)!

If the "hands on" focusing works, my goal will be to go
after those lovely new M optical gems; the 90 f2 apo &
the 135 f3.4 apo. Clearly, there will be redundancies in
my R gear; at this point, I don't have a clue as to what
I'm willing to trade in (&>( !

However, if push came to shove...today; I'd trade in my
R7s ( they've been reliable as "hell"), R 24 f2.8, & my R
90 f2.8. It would leave me with the following focal lengths;
a.) R 35 f2; a lens with amazing flare control. b.) R 80 f1.4;
a lens that creates "beauty". c.) M 90 f2 & 135 3.4 apos;
lenses whereby Kodachrome should yield its "nuances".
d.) R 180 f2.8 apo; a focal length w/o peer. e.) R 70-180
f2.8 apo zoom; totally redundant, but how the "hell" can I
trade away such an awesome lens (&>). f.) Last, but not
least, my R 280 f4; another focal length w/o peer!

Priorities are more easily understood if you understand
that my cars are a 1979 RX-7 ( that's right, it still runs ) &
a 1992 Toyota Camry. Trading off "visual pleasure" over
"visceral" road experiences (&>) !
