Hi again !

I found the "strong" light fall off when the avaiable light is not so
enough. Sorry for using the "strong" word, Maybe I am just too picky about
the vignetting. my 21/f4 SA is a 3-cam version. It is a good lens, but I
always prefer the large aperture lens like 80/1.4, 75/1.4, 50/1 etc,.
Frankly, I like to see through the viewfinder of my R7 instead of the
attached finder for 21mm/2.8 ASPH. However, I kind of have the feeling that
the 21mm/2.8 ASPH is likely to outperform the 19mm/2.8. And that is why I
am a bit confused about these two lens. Still, Any suggestion is greatly

Hi Eddie. You wrote:

I'm surprised about this. I have the same lens (2-cam), and the
illumination seems remarkably even corner to corner. Definition and colour
rendering are also excellent, even at full bore. Have you had yours checked
out on an optical test bench? Maybe there's something slightly out of

The only thing I do notice about the R lens, compared to the 21/3.4 SA M,
is that there is a shade more distortion in the extreme corners. But then
they're of totally different designs.
