Patrick is right. CCDs in still cameras have to be perfect. One single
pixel out (currently the best have 2-6 million) and there is a color
problem. It's very difficult to manufacture such a CCD for professional
use. So it's going to take a long time for the prices on digital to come
down, where the quality is still good enough for professional use.
