Pin hole lenses are marvelous in that they have no focal length. The
distance from the lens determines the focal length. Also, be aware that
"very small" pinholes are not necessarily the best. As in glass lenses,
there is a problem with defraction scatterning as the pinhole gets smaller.
There is a webpage (actually several) devoted to pinhole photography. I
don't have the adressess, but they should be easy to find. Pinhole photos
have a look and quality of thier own that is sometimes pleasing. Many
photographers seem to go through a "pinhole stage" as some point in their
learning. I did, and learned a lot--especially about reciprocity effect. And
the pinhole camera has the quietest shutter of all.
