One of my flash cables is a Paramount brand. It is just a standard
male/female PC cord, but as I recall the packaging the company offers
about 15 different ends on its cables, including Leica M. It may be a
special order situation if a store doesn't have exactly what you want in
stock, but the company is set up for it and I don't think the prices
were outrageous. You can choose your length, what type of connector to
have on each end, and whether you want it coiled or not.

Having your sync outlets reworked would certainly be the elegant (and
permanent) way to solve your problem, but a proper cable would be a lot
simpler and cheaper. If you get two you'll never lose the first one, in
my experience.

Good luck.
