I use my 135/2.8 Elmarit regularly for theater shots.  I also have a
135/2.0 for my Nikon which I use occasionally, but the noise of those
cameras limits their utility in most theatrical situations.  The Elmarit
is something of a beast to carry around a lot, and the goggles make it a
tight fit in some of my camera bags, so when I can I'll look for one of
the older f/4 Tele-Elmars for work in brighter light.

So in a word, yes we do still use the 135s.
