Subject: [Leica] London Leica Dealers

Pied Bull Yard, opposite the British Museum, not only has Jessops Classic
Cameras, but two other Leica/Classic camera dealers; Camera Fair (the
largest and the snootiest of the three) and Classic Leica, run by someone
called Andrew Riley who is very friendly and knowledgeable.

Their close proximity guarantees good browsing!

But all three are guilty of telling you what they think you want to hear;
all of them have told me at one time or another that Leica lenses beat Canon
L's hollow; or that Contax G's are rubbish. So take their sales-gush with a
grain of salt.

Most of London's other camera shops are also within close walking distance
if you want to make a real day of it!

Fieldgrass and Gale is not really a shop but a mail order office buried in a
South London business village; you can visit, but its not very interesting.

My favourite?  Classic Leica.
