The CL meter only operates only if the following conditions are BOTH true:
1) The shutter is cocked
2) The wind lever is pulled out into the "ready to wind" position

It's a neat design, because as soon as you zip the leather case over the
camera (which you can't forget, since the case slides down the straps onto
the body), the meter turns off.

However, I find that I often knock the lever with my forehead, turning the
meter off.  It's a small hassle, but not as much as having to set the M6s to
B.

Does also the CL body switch off when shutter speed dial  is in B
and advance lever is un-cocked or something else?
