Subject: [Leica] M6 power consumtion question

When I went to use my M6 yesterday, the battery was
completely dead.  The shutter speed dial was not on "Bulb",
but I'm pretty sure the shutter was not cocked.

I assume that here is no power drain at all when the
shutter is not cocked -- this is correct, isn't it?

Maybe it was just a coincidence, but the battery usually
dies a slower death.
