Subject: Re: [Leica] are billingham photobags fine?

Billigham bags are, simply put, the Leica of camera bags. They don't do
more than other bags do, they just do it longer and with the same
ecclecticism of Leica. But, as is also the case (no pun intended) with
Leica, there are other bags with some higher-tech features and materials.
I personally love the Photoflex "Galen Rowell" MWP, which I've modified
by removing the dividers and replacing with Domke inserts. The bag has a
magnificent waistbelt (removable!) equal to that found on the finest
backpacks, plus a shoulder strap with a sliding pad and a quick-adjust
buckle (similar to that found on backpack shoulder straps) which allows
the bag to be worn on the lower back with the strap bandolero-style,
cinched up tight, for truly effortless carrying of heavy loads; then, the
strap loosened and the bag swung to the side or front for easy use.
Plus, the top opens away from you, and there are even pockets on the
waistbelt. It hold bags of gear.
