Subject: Re: [Leica] Power switch

I read with some interest the news that the [so-called] "new" M6 was to
have an "off" position on the shutter dial, to "turn off the
electronics", and I presumed that meant the meter, which has always very
adequately been performed by the "B" setting. What the M camera could
always have benefitted from is a firing button lock. My problem has
never been battery; rather a missed shot due to the camera having
accidentally fired in the holdall and my not realising it until I pressed
the button.

Regards,
Nigel
