Subject: [Leica] How to remove lens shade from the new 35mm 1.4 ASPH?

I have a hard time trying to remove the shade from my new 35mm 1.4 ASPH.
According to the instructions,  all you have to do is push the 2 tabs on the
side and pull.  But my is so tight that it won't budge.  Am I doing something
wrong?
