I have a 50 Summar which i believe has some fungus growing. I'd like to
take some more pictures with it, rather than cultivate them, and was
wondering if anyone has had experience removing and cleaning the front
element ?

I always thought this was a big 'no-no.' And actually, come to think of it,
why do the dealers charge significantly less money if it is so easy to
clean our second hand fungi-cised lenses?

Having said that, i've just blown the prospect of future cheap deals haven't I?
They're on to us-buy now!

Take care,
Gary
